Canterbury Reunion 2017

CANTERBURY REUNION
(Sunday 23rd July 2017)

The parade will form up in Burgate, as directed, at 12.30 hrs sharp. Those attending the Service, but not marching, are requested to be seated in the Cathedral by 12.45 hrs.

After the Service and March Past the reunion will be held in Leros Barracks, Sturry Road from 13.30 hrs. Lunch will be available at £10.00 per person for Association members and one guest, for additional guests and non Association Members the charge will be £12. per person. Lunch will be provided by the Catering Staff of 3 PWRR.

This year the lunch will be a Carvery (choice of three roasts) with all the usual trimmings. A vegetarian option will be available.  Lunch will be served between 14.00-15.00hrs for ticket holders.

SECURITY

The security arrangements for access to Leros barracks for the annual Canterbury Re Union have been strengthened. Consequently, the following conditions will apply:

Association Membership:  As the re union is subsidised by the Regimental Association, only members of the Queen’s Own Buffs Regimental Association are entitled to attend the Re Union. Association Membership entitles a member to be accompanied to the Re Union by a wife, partner, a family member or bona fide carer.

An Application Form can be obtained by contacting the Regimental Association Secretary, (details below). Membership requires a one-time payment of £27, made up of £7 life membership and £20 for Regimental Journals which includes postage if you live in he UK or £37 if you live abroad. Please note: Association badges are no longer available.

Entry to Leros Barracks: The requirement to have knowledge of who is ‘on site’ at Leros Barracks, numbers etc means that the following changes to the security system are necessary. These are in addition to the conditions relating to Association Membership given above. All who wish to attend the Re Union must have a ‘Day Pass’ which will be numbered and named. An Application Form is included in the next issue of the Regimental Journal due out shortly or one can be obtained by contacting the Regimental Association Secretary, (details below)

Lunch Tickets: Those requiring Lunch will need to apply for a lunch ticket (£10 per person)  An Application Form is included in the next issue of the Regimental Journal due out shortly or one can be obtained by contacting the Regimental Association Secretary, (details below). 

Those holding a Lunch Ticket will not need an additional Day Pass.
